Diabetes is a condition where your blood glucose levels are out of control. These elevated blood glucose levels lead to complications like heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, loss of vision and so on.
Insulin is responsible for keeping glucose levels in check. Excess fat deposition can cause insulin resistance, where in the body does not respond to insulin signals to control blood glucose.
Fat can deposit anywhere in the body. Not just around your belly, making you look fat, but around any organ. This fat deposition around your body organs is referred to as visceral fat. Example- Fatty liver. This visceral fat deposition is extremely dangerous and notorious to cause diabetes.
Problem here is, we can’t see if we have fat around our organs. But if you are gaining weight rapidly, because of unhealthy food habits or being a couch potato, then you are building visceral fat!
So, watch your weight, eat good food and move yourself.
