Rice is an integral part of meal in many cultures, especially south Indians. It is a major source of carbohydrates, so if you are a rice eater, it is important that you include it in your diet to make it balanced.
But the type of rice and the quantity you choose are very important. As a rough guideline, eat about 2 to 3 fistful per meal.
Choose hand pounded rice as not only does it provide carbs, it is also rich in micro-nutrients which boost your immunity.
Hand pounded rice, brown rice, red rice or black rice- they all help improve your digestion and help the good bacteria grow in your intestines.
