Good fats vs Bad fats!!
This is the latest food battle trending right now. So, what are these good or bad fats?
Good fats refer to foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids. They are found in foods like nuts, sea food, soybeans, legumes, chia seeds and so on. The reason they are called good is omega 3 fats are anti-inflammatory, prevent plaque formation and hence heart protective.
Bad fats refer to omega 6 fatty acids found in foods cooked in refined oils like sunflower, safflower, corn and any processed food containing high fructose corn syrup or soy. These foods are highly atherogenic, which means they multiply your chances of stroke and heart attacks.
